حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ
أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَدِمَ مَكَّةَ، فَدَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ فَبَعَثَ إِلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ فَقَالَ: صَلَّى بَيْنَ السَّارِيَتَيْنِ بِحِيَالِ الْبَابِ، فَجَاءَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ فَرَجَّ الْبَابَ رَجًّا شَدِيدًا، فَفُتِحَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ لِمُعَاوِيَةَ: أَمَا إِنَّكَ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنِّي كُنْتُ أَعْلَمُ مِثْلَ الَّذِي يَعْلَمُ، وَلَكِنَّكَ حَسَدْتَنِي
Translation

✧ Mu'awiyah came to Makkah and entered the Ka'bah, then he sent to Ibn Umar: "Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?" He said: "He prayed between the two pillars, opposite the door." Then Ibn al-Zubayr came and shook the door violently, and it was opened for him. He said to Mu'awiyah: "Indeed, you knew that I knew the like of what he knows, but you envied me."
