✧ We set out for Hajj, ten of us from the people of al-Sham, until we came to Makkah. He mentioned the hadith. He said: "Then we came to him, and he came out to us—meaning Ibn Umar—and said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Whoever intercedes to prevent one of the prescribed punishments of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has opposed Allah in His command. Whoever dies owing a debt, it will not be repaid with dinars or dirhams, but with good deeds and bad deeds. Whoever disputes in falsehood knowingly remains in Allah's displeasure until he desists. Whoever says about a believer what is not true, Allah will make him dwell in the mud of corruption until he retracts what he said.'"
