✧ O Abu Abd al-Rahman, I have seen you do four things that I have not seen any of your companions do. He said: What are they, O Ibn Jurayj? He said: I saw that you do not touch any of the corners except the two Yemeni ones, and I saw you wearing hairless leather sandals, and I saw you dyeing with yellow, and I saw that when you were in Makkah, the people entered ihram when they saw the crescent, but you did not enter ihram until the Day of Tarwiyah. Abdullah said: As for the corners, I did not see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ touch except the two Yemeni ones. As for the hairless leather sandals, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wearing sandals that had no hair and performing ablution while wearing them, so I like to wear them. As for the yellow dye, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dyeing with it, so I like to dye with it. As for entering ihram, I did not see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ enter ihram until his camel set off with him.
