✧ That he would not abandon the Hajj and the Umrah, and that Abdullah b. Abdullah entered upon him and said: I do not feel safe that this year there will be fighting among the people, so if only you would stay. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed Hajj, and the disbelievers of Quraysh blocked him from reaching the House. If I am blocked from it, I will do as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did. Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, said: 'Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example.' Then he said: I call you to witness that I have obligated an Umrah. Then he traveled until he was at al-Bayda, and he said: By Allah, I see no way for the two of them except as one. I call you to witness that I have obligated a Hajj along with my Umrah. Then he performed a single tawaf for both of them.
