What scholars said about it

In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

  • Zarqānī

الاختلاف فيه عن الزهري يشعر بأن بعضهم رواه بالمعنى فاستقامت رواية نافع لعدم الاختلاف فيها

machine translationThe disagreement about it from al-Zuhrī indicates that some of them narrated it by meaning, so the narration of Nāfiʿ is sound, since there is no disagreement in it.

    in مسند أحمد, p. 5308
  • ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. al-Jawzī

حديث ابن عمر اختلف في رفعه ووقفه

machine translationThe hadith of Ibn ʿUmar: there is disagreement over whether it is raised (marfūʿ) to the Prophet ﷺ or stopped (mawqūf) at the Companion.

    in مسند أحمد, p. 5308
