حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ سَمِعَهُ مِنَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

أَقْبَلَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ فَتَكَلَّمَا، أَوْ تَكَلَّمَ أَحَدُهُمَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ سِحْرًا، أَوْ: إِنَّ الْبَيَانَ سِحْرٌ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  3. Zayd b. Aslam Samiʿah Min Ibn ʿUmar

✧ Two men came from the east and spoke, or one of them spoke. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indeed, some eloquence is magic,' or 'Indeed, eloquence is magic.'
