حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّهُ أَذَّنَ بِضَجْنَانَ لَيْلَةً الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ قَالَ فِي إِثْرِ ذَلِكَ: أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ. وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ مُؤَذِّنًا يَقُولُ: أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْبَارِدَةِ أَوِ الْمَطِيرَةِ فِي السَّفَرِ.

Translation

✧ "In the aftermath, they were instructed to pray during the journeys, and it was informed to us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command the mu'adhin to say: 'Pray during the journeys on cold or rainy nights while traveling.'"
