Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Ismāʿīl
  2. Ibn ʿAwn

✧ I wrote to Nafi' asking him about supplication at the time of fighting. He wrote to me: That was only in the early days of Islam. The Prophet of God ﷺ raided Banu al-Mustaliq while they were unaware and their livestock were being watered at the water. He killed their fighting men and took their offspring captive, and on that day he took Juwayriyah bt. al-Harith.
