حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

يُصَلِّي حَيْثُمَا تَوَجَّهَتْ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ. وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ، وَيَتَأَوَّلُ عَلَيْهِ: وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنْتُمْ فَوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ [شَطْرَهُ].

Translation

Chain of narrators

  2. ʿAbd al-Malik / Ibn Abū Sulaymān
  3. Saʿīd b. Jubayr
  4. Ibn ʿUmar

✧ He prays wherever his mount turns with him. And I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ do that, and he interpreted it: “And wherever you are, turn your faces toward it [the Sacred Mosque].”
