حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ

مَا حَقُّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ تَمُرُّ عَلَيْهِ ثَلَاثُ لَيَالٍ إِلَّا وَوَصِيَّتُهُ عِنْدَهُ.

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. ʿAbd al-Razzāq
  2. Maʿmar
  3. al-Zuhrī
  4. Sālim
  5. Ibn ʿUmar
  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ It is not right for any Muslim who has something to bequeath to pass three nights without having his will with him.
