- Yaḥyá b. Maʿīn
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī
machine translationMost of the leading ḥadīth scholars regarded this addition, "and the day," as flawed, because the memorizers (ḥuffāẓ) among the students of Ibn ʿUmar did not mention it.
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - Yaḥyá b. Maʿīn
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - al-Bukhari
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī

machine translationThe chains of transmission are sound (ṣaḥīḥ).
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - al-Tirmidhi
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - Aḥmad ibn Shuʿayb al-Nasāʾī
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥākim
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - Dāraquṭnī
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - Aḥmad ibn Shuʿayb al-Nasāʾī
machine translationIn my view this ḥadīth is mistaken. And he said in al-Kubrā: Its chain is good, except that a group of the students of Ibn ʿUmar contradicted al-Azdī and did not mention "the day."
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī
machine translationIbn Khuzaymah, Ibn Ḥibbān and al-Ḥākim declared it sound (ṣaḥīḥ).
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - Dāraquṭnī
machine translationHe said in al-ʿIlal: The mention of the day in it is an error.
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - Khaṭṭābī
machine translationṬāwūs, Nāfiʿ and others narrated this ḥadīth from Ibn ʿUmar, and none of them mentioned the day in it; it is only "the prayer of the night is two by two." However, the way with an addition from a trustworthy narrator is that it is accepted.
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856 - Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī
machine translationThis is a sound (ṣaḥīḥ) ḥadīth. Muslim used ʿAlī al-Bāriqī as evidence, and an addition from a trustworthy (thiqah) narrator is accepted.
in مسند أحمد, p. 4856
