✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came to Fatimah and found on her door a curtain, so he did not enter upon her. It was rare that he would enter except that he began with her. Ali came and saw her distressed, so he said, "What is with you?" She said, "The Messenger of God ﷺ came to me and did not enter upon me." Ali went to him and said, "O Messenger of God, Fatimah found it hard that you came to her and did not enter upon her." He said, "What have I to do with the world? What have I to do with patterns?" He went to Fatimah and informed her of the statement of the Messenger of God ﷺ. She said, "Then say to the Messenger of God ﷺ: what do you command me to do with it?" He said, "Tell her: send it to the Banu so-and-so."
