حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ
كَانَتْ قُرَيْشٌ تَحْلِفُ بِآبَائِهَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَنْ كَانَ حَالِفًا فَلْيَحْلِفْ بِاللهِ، لَا تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ
Translation

✧ The Quraysh used to swear by their forefathers. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever swears an oath, let him swear by Allah. Do not swear by your forefathers."
