حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنِي سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ

أَنَّ نَاسًا دَخَلُوا عَلَى ابْنِ عَامِرٍ فِي مَرَضِهِ فَجَعَلُوا يُثْنُونَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: أَمَا إِنِّي لَسْتُ بِأَغَشِّهِمْ لَكَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ اللهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى لَا يَقْبَلُ صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ، وَلَا صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ

Translation

✧ Some people entered upon Ibn 'Amir during his illness and began to praise him. Ibn 'Umar said, "Indeed, I am not the most deceitful of them to you. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Allah, Blessed and Exalted, does not accept charity from stolen property, nor prayer without purification.'"
