حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى دَابَّتِهِ التَّطَوُّعَ حَيْثُ تَوَجَّهَتْ بِهِ، فَذَكَرْتُ لَهُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ: رَأَيْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ يَفْعَلُهُ.

✧ I saw Ibn Umar performing voluntary prayer on his mount, facing whichever direction it took him. I mentioned that to him and he said: I saw Abu al-Qasim doing it.
