✧ I was present with Abu Ubaydah b. Abdullah b. Masud when two men came to him who had made a transaction of goods. One said: 'I bought for such-and-such,' and the other said: 'I sold for such-and-such.' Abu Ubaydah said: 'Abdullah b. Masud was brought a case like this, and he said: I was present when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought a case like this, and he ordered the seller to take an oath, then the buyer was given the choice: if he wished, he could take it, and if he wished, he could leave it.'
