✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ divided the spoils of Hunayn at al-Ji'ranah, they crowded around him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A servant among Allah's servants, whom Allah sent to his people, was struck by them and wounded.' He said: He began wiping the blood from his forehead and saying: 'My Lord, forgive my people, for they do not know.' Abdullah said: It is as if I am looking at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping the blood from his forehead, imitating the man and saying: 'My Lord, forgive my people, for they do not know.'
