✧ While we were in the mosque on Friday night, a man from the Ansar said: By Allah, if a man finds another man with his wife and speaks, he will surely be flogged; and if he kills him, he will surely be killed; and if he remains silent, he will remain silent upon anger. By Allah, when morning comes, I will surely go to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When morning came, he went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allah, if a man finds another man with his wife and speaks, he will surely be flogged; and if he kills him, he will surely be killed; and if he remains silent, he will remain silent upon anger. And he kept saying: O Allah, open! O Allah, open! He said: Then the verse of mutual cursing was revealed: "And those who accuse their wives and have no witnesses except themselves" (Qur'an 24:6).
