حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ
لَا يَزَالُ الرَّجُلُ يَصْدُقُ وَيَتَحَرَّى الصِّدْقَ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ صِدِّيقًا، وَلَا يَزَالُ الرَّجُلُ يَكْذِبُ وَيَتَحَرَّى الْكَذِبَ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ كَذَّابًا.

✧ A man continues to be truthful and strives for truthfulness until he is recorded as a truthful one, and a man continues to lie and strives for lying until he is recorded as a liar.
