حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ؛ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يُحْزِنُهُ.

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Wakīʿ
  2. al-Aʿmash
  3. Abū Wāʾil
  4. ʿAbdullāh
  5. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ When you are three, two should not converse privately excluding the third, for that grieves him.
