حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرٌ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ

مَا مِنْ حَكَمٍ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ إِلَّا حُبِسَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَمَلَكٌ آخِذٌ بِقَفَاهُ حَتَّى يَقِفَهُ عَلَى جَهَنَّمَ، ثُمَّ يَرْفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، فَإِنْ قَالَ الْخَطَّاءُ أَلْقَاهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ يَهْوِي أَرْبَعِينَ خَرِيفًا.

✧ There is no judge who judges among the people except that he will be detained on the Day of Resurrection, with an angel seizing him by the back of his neck until he makes him stand over Hell. Then he raises his head to Allah, Mighty and Majestic. If He says “Throw him,” he casts him into Hell, falling for forty autumns.
