✧ I witnessed from al-Miqdad b. al-Aswad — someone other than him said: a scene which I would rather have been the one who witnessed than anything equal to it. He came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was supplicating against the polytheists and said: 'We will not say to you as the people of Musa said: "Go, you and your Lord, and fight. We are sitting here." Instead, we will fight on your right and on your left, and before you and behind you.' I saw the face of the Messenger of God ﷺ light up, and that pleased him.
