حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ قَالَ قَالَ قَيْسٌ فَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَهْلَةَأَنَّ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ
يَوْمَ الدَّارِ حِينَ حُصِرَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ فَأَنَا صَابِرٌ عَلَيْهِقَالَ قَيْسٌ فَكَانُوا يَرَوْنَهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ
Translation

- Qays Faḥaddathanī Abū Sahlahaʾan ʿUthmān
✧ On the Day of the House when he was besieged: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ made a covenant with me, so I am steadfast upon it. Qays said: They considered it to be that day.
