حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ لَيْسَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ ذَكَرَهُ وَلَكِنْ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَى الْخَلَاءَ وَقَالَ: ائْتِنِي بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ فَالْتَمَسْتُ، فَوَجَدْتُ حَجَرَيْنِ، وَلَمْ أَجِدِ الثَّالِثَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِحَجَرَيْنِ وَرَوْثَةٍ، فَأَخَذَ الْحَجَرَيْنِ، وَأَلْقَى الرَّوْثَةَ، وَقَالَ: إِنَّهَا رِكْسٌ.

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went to relieve himself and said: 'Bring me three stones.' I searched and found two stones, but I could not find the third. So I brought him two stones and a piece of dung. He took the two stones and threw away the dung, saying: 'It is impure.'
