حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَنْتَرَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ قَالَ

اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلْقَمَةُ وَالْأَسْوَدُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: إِنَّهُ سَيَلِيكُمْ أُمَرَاءُ يَشْتَغِلُونَ عَنْ وَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ فَصَلُّوهَا لِوَقْتِهَا، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ.

Translation

✧ Alqamah and al-Aswad asked permission to enter upon Abdullah. He said: Rulers will come to you who will be preoccupied from the time of prayer, so pray it at its proper time. Then he stood and prayed between me and him, then said: This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do it.
