حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ يَعْنِي الطَّيَالِسِيَّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنِ الْجُمُعَةِ: لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ، ثُمَّ أُحَرِّقَ عَلَى رِجَالٍ بُيُوتَهُمْ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنِ الْجُمُعَةِ.

✧ He said to a people who were staying away from the Friday prayer: 'I was about to order a man to lead the people in prayer, then burn the houses of men who stay away from the Friday prayer.'
