حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ وَأَبُو أَحْمَدَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَعَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ [اللهِ ﷺ ] يُكَبِّرُ فِي كُلِّ رُكُوعٍ وَسُجُودٍ وَرَفْعٍ وَوَضْعٍ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ وَيُسَلِّمُونَ عَنْ أَيْمَانِهِمْ وَشَمَائِلِهِمُ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ.

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ used to say the takbīr in every bowing and prostration and rising and lowering, and Abū Bakr and ʿUmar [also did so], and they would give salutations to their right and left: “Peace be upon you and the mercy of God.”
