✧ I heard a man reciting Ḥā Mīm, the thirty, meaning al-Aḥqāf, and he recited one reading. Another man recited a reading his companion had not recited, and I recited readings my two companions had not recited. We went to the Prophet ﷺ and told him. He said: "Do not differ, for those before you perished only by their differing." Then he said: "Look for the best reciter among you and follow his recitation."
