حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُتَلَقَّى الرُّكْبَانُ، وَأَنْ يَبِيعَ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ. قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: مَا قَوْلُهُ: حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ ؟ قَالَ: لَا يَكُونُ لَهُ سِمْسَارًا

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade meeting caravans (to buy from them before they reach the market) and that a settled person sell on behalf of a bedouin. He said: I said to Ibn Abbas: "What is his saying: 'a settled person for a bedouin'?" He said: "He should not be a broker for him."
