✧ I spent the night at my maternal aunt Maymunah's house. I said: 'I will certainly observe the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' A cushion was placed for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he slept along its length, and his family slept. Then he got up in the middle of the night, or before it, or after it, and began wiping sleep from himself. Then he recited the last ten verses of Al Imran until he completed them. Then he got up and went to a hanging water skin, took it, and performed ablution. Then he stood to pray, so I got up and did as he had done. Then I came and stood beside him. He placed his hand on my head, then took hold of my ear and began twisting it. Then he prayed two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then he performed witr.
