✧ We attended with Ibn Abbas the funeral of Maymuna, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, at Sarif. Ibn Abbas said: 'This is the wife of the Messenger of God ﷺ. When you lift her bier, do not shake or jolt her; be gentle. For he used to divide his time among eight and not divide for one.' Ata said: 'The one for whom he did not divide was Safiyya bt. Huyayy b. Akhtab.'
