حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَ الْعَجْلَانِيِّ وَامْرَأَتِهِ، قَالَ: وَكَانَتْ حُبْلَى، فَقَالَ: وَاللهِ مَا قَرَبْتُهَا مُنْذُ عَفَرْنَا. - قَالَ: وَالْعَفْرُ: أَنْ يُسْقَى النَّخْلُ بَعْدَ أَنْ يُتْرَكَ مِنَ السَّقْيِ بَعْدَ الْإِبَارِ بِشَهْرَيْنِ - قَالَ: وَكَانَ زَوْجُهَا حَمْشَ السَّاقَيْنِ وَالذِّرَاعَيْنِ، أَصْهَبَ الشَّعَرَةِ، وَكَانَ الَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ ابْنَ السَّحْمَاءِ، قَالَ: فَوَلَدَتْ غُلَامًا أَسْوَدَ أَجْلَى جَعْدًا عَبْلَ الذِّرَاعَيْنِ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ ابْنُ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ، لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَهِيَ الْمَرْأَةُ الَّتِي قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: لَوْ كُنْتُ رَاجِمًا بِغَيْرِ بَيِّنَةٍ لَرَجَمْتُهَا ؟ قَالَ: لَا، تِلْكَ امْرَأَةٌ قَدْ أَعْلَنَتْ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ conducted the oath of condemnation (li'an) between the Ajlani man and his wife. She was pregnant. He said, 'By Allah, I have not approached her since we 'afarna.' - He said: 'Afar' is when palm trees are watered after being left unwatered for two months after pollination. - Her husband was thin-shanked and thin-forearmed, with reddish hair, and the one she was accused with was Ibn al-Sahma'. She gave birth to a black boy, with receding hairline, curly hair, and thick forearms. Ibn Shaddad b. al-Had said to Ibn Abbas, 'Is she the woman about whom the Prophet ﷺ said, 'If I were to stone anyone without evidence, I would stone her'?' He said, 'No, that was a woman who openly committed immorality in Islam.'
