✧ Two roasted dabb lizards were brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and with him was Khalid b. al-Walid. The Prophet ﷺ reached out his hand to eat, but it was said to him: 'It is a dabb.' So he withheld his hand. Khalid said to him: 'Is it forbidden, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'No, but it is not found in the land of my people, and I find myself averse to it.' So Khalid ate while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at him.
