machine translationʿIkrimah narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Ismāʿīl b. Abī Khālid narrated it from al-Shaʿbī, from ʿIkrimah, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from Sawdah. Maʿmar narrated it from al-Shaʿbī, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from the Prophet ﷺ. Manṣūr and Miʿraf b. Wāṣil narrated it from al-Shaʿbī as a mursal report. Simāk narrated it from ʿIkrimah, and there is disagreement about him as well: Abū ʿAwānah narrated it from Simāk, from ʿIkrimah, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: "A sheep belonging to Sawdah died." Isrāʾīl said, from Simāk, from ʿIkrimah, from Sawdah. Yazīd b. Abī Ziyād narrated it from ʿIkrimah, from Sawdah, as Isrāʾīl said. The hadith of Ismāʿīl b. Abī Khālid, from al-Shaʿbī, from ʿIkrimah, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from Sawdah, is the closest of them to being correct.
