حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَوْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ مَرَّ بِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ وَهُوَيُصَلِّي مَضْفُورَ الرَّأْسِ مَعْقُودًا مِنْ وَرَائِهِ فَوَقَفَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَبْرَحْ يَحُلُّ عُقَدَ رَأْسِهِ فَأَقَرَّ لَهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ حَتَّى فَرَغَ مِنْ حَلِّهِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ ابْنُ الْحَارِثِ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ أَتَاهُ فَقَالَ

أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ مَرَّ بِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ، وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي مَضْفُورَ الرَّأْسِ، مَعْقُودًا مِنْ وَرَائِهِ، فَوَقَفَ عَلَيْهِ، فَلَمْ يَبْرَحْ يَحُلُّ عُقَدَ رَأْسِهِ، فَأَقَرَّ لَهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، حَتَّى فَرَغَ مِنْ حَلِّهِ، ثُمَّ جَلَسَ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ ابْنُ الْحَارِثِ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ أَتَاهُ، فَقَالَ: عَلَامَ صَنَعْتَ بِرَأْسِي مَا صَنَعْتَ آنِفًا ؟! قَالَ: إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَثَلُ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي، وَرَأْسُهُ مَعْقُودٌ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي مَكْتُوفًا

✧ Abdullah b. al-Abbas passed by Abdullah b. al-Harith b. Abi Rabi'ah while he was praying with his hair braided and tied behind him. He stood over him and did not cease untying the knots of his hair. Abdullah b. al-Harith remained still for him until he finished untying it, then he sat down. When Ibn al-Harith finished the prayer, he came to him and said, “Why did you do to my head what you did just now?” He said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The likeness of one who prays with his head tied behind him is like one who prays bound.'”
