✧ Two believers meet at the gate of Paradise: a rich believer and a poor believer who were in this world. The poor one is admitted to Paradise, and the rich one is held back as long as Allah wills to hold him back. Then he is admitted to Paradise. The poor one meets him and says: 'O my brother, what held you back? By Allah, you were held back until I feared for you.' He says: 'O my brother, I was held back after you for a terrible, horrible detention, and I did not reach you until so much sweat flowed from me that if a thousand camels, all eating bitter plants, had drunk it, they would have left satisfied.'
