حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

لَا يَصْلُحُ الْكَذِبُ إِلَّا فِي ثَلَاثٍ: كَذِبُ الرَّجُلِ امْرَأَتَهُ لِيُرْضِيَهَا، أَوْ إِصْلَاحٌ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ، أَوْ كَذِبٌ فِي الْحَرْبِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Lying is not permissible except in three cases: a man lying to his wife to please her, or to reconcile between people, or in times of war."
