✧ I accompanied Abu al-Darda' to learn from him. When death came to him, he said: Announce my death to the people. So I announced his death to the people. Then I came, and the house and its surroundings were filled. He said: I said: I have announced your death to the people, and the house and its surroundings are filled. He said: Take me out. So we took him out. He said: Seat me. So we seated him. He said: O people, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Whoever performs ablution and perfects it, then prays two rakʿahs and completes them perfectly, Allah will grant him whatever he asks for, sooner or later. Abu al-Darda' said: O people, beware of turning around during prayer, for there is no prayer for one who turns around. If you are overcome in voluntary prayer, do not be overcome in the obligatory prayer.
