حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ ابْنِ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ وَكَانَتْ قَدْ صَلَّتِ الْقِبْلَتَيْنِ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ

دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: اخْتَضِبِي تَتْرُكُ إِحْدَاكُنَّ الْخِضَابَ حَتَّى تَكُونَ يَدُهَا كَيَدِ الرَّجُلِ ! قَالَتْ: فَمَا تَرَكَتِ الْخِضَابَ حَتَّى لَقِيَتِ اللهَ تَعَالَى، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ لَتَخْتَضِبُ وَهِيَ بِنْتُ ثَمَانِينَ.

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ entered upon me and said: Apply henna. Would one of you leave off henna until her hand becomes like a man's hand! She said: She did not abandon henna until she met God Almighty, and she would apply henna even at the age of eighty.
