✧ She was married to Thabit b. Qays b. Shammas. The Prophet ﷺ went out for the dawn prayer and found Habiba bt. Sahl at his door in the darkness before dawn. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Who is this?" She said, "I am Habiba bt. Sahl." He ﷺ said, "What is the matter with you?" She said, "Neither I nor Thabit b. Qays" — meaning her husband. When Thabit came, the Prophet ﷺ said to him, "This is Habiba bt. Sahl; she has mentioned what Allah willed her to mention." Habiba said, "O Messenger of Allah, everything he gave me is with me." The Prophet ﷺ said to Thabit, "Take it from her." So he took it from her, and she returned to her family.
