✧ I was with 'A'ishah when the Prophet ﷺ entered and said: 'Bring me water for ablution.' She said: 'I and 'A'ishah rushed to the jug, [and I beat her to it]. I took it, and he performed ablution. He raised his gaze to me - or glanced at me - and said: 'You are from me and I am from you.' She said: 'Then a man was brought to him, and he said: 'I did not do it; it was only said to me.'' She said: 'He had asked him on the pulpit: 'Who are the best of people?' He replied: 'The most knowledgeable among them in the religion of God and the most mindful of their kinship ties.'' Sharik mentioned two other things about it that I did not memorize.
