حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ قَالَ إِنَّ عُبَيْدَ بْنَ السَّبَّاقِ يَزْعُمُ أَنَّ جُوَيْرِيَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِىِّ ﷺ أَخْبَرَتْهُ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا، فَقَالَ: هَلْ مِنْ طَعَامٍ ؟ قَالَتْ: لَا وَاللهِ، مَا عِنْدَنَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا عَظْمًا مِنْ شَاةٍ أُعْطِيَتْهَا مَوْلَاتِي مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ. فَقَالَ ﷺ: قَرِّبِيهِ، فَقَدْ بَلَغَتْ مَحِلَّهَا

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ entered upon her and said: 'Is there any food?' She said: 'No, by God, we have no food except a bone from a sheep given to my freedwoman as charity.' He ﷺ said: 'Bring it close, for it has reached its proper place.'

Al-Qaʿnabī narrated it from al-Layth, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUbayd b. al-Sabbāq, from Maymūnah, from the Prophet ﷺ, and this is an error (wahm). The correct version is from ʿUbayd b. al-Sabbāq, from Juwayriyah, and we have already explained this in the hadith of Juwayriyah.

Musāfir narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from the son of ʿUbayd b. al-Sabbāq, from his father, from Juwayriyah. Ṣāliḥ b. Kaysān, Yūnus b. Yazīd and Layth b.
