Translation

✧ A relative of Umm Habiba—or a kinsman of hers—died, and she called for yellow dye and wiped it on her forearms, and she said: I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ—or the Messenger of God ﷺ said—: It is not lawful for a woman who believes in God and the Last Day to mourn for a deceased person more than three days, except for a husband, for she mourns for him four months and ten days.
