حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ عَنْ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي تَجْرَاةَ قَالَتْ
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَطُوفُ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ، وَالنَّاسُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَهُوَ وَرَاءَهُمْ، وَهُوَ يَسْعَى حَتَّى أَرَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ مِنْ شِدَّةِ السَّعْيِ يَدُورُ بِهِ إِزَارُهُ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: اسْعَوْا؛ فَإِنَّ اللهَ كَتَبَ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّعْيَ

✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ going between al-Safa and al-Marwah with the people in front of him and he behind them, and he was walking briskly until I could see his knees from the intensity of the pace, with his waist-wrapper twisting around him, and he was saying: Walk briskly, for Allah has prescribed the brisk walk for you.
