✧ We complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was reclining on a cloak in the shade of the Kaaba. We said: 'Will you not seek victory for us from Allah, Mighty and Majestic – or, will you not, meaning, seek victory for us?' He said: 'A man among those before you would be taken, a pit dug for him in the earth, then a saw brought and placed on his head, splitting him into two halves, and that did not turn him away from his religion. And he would be combed with iron combs, removing the flesh and sinew from his bones, and that did not turn him away from his religion. By Allah, Allah will complete this matter until a rider travels from Madinah to Hadramawt fearing none but Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and the wolf for his sheep, but you are impatient.'
