machine translationIn it is Abū Maʿshar Najīḥ, who has been declared trustworthy (muwaththaq), although a large group have declared him weak (ḍaʿīf), and the declaration of him as trustworthy is soft (layyin). The rest of its narrators are trustworthy (thiqāt).
in مسند أحمد, p. 27770 - Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī
machine translationAbū Maʿshar made a mistake (akhṭaʾa) in this hadith. Rather, it is what Mālik b. Anas narrated from Yazīd b. Khuṣayfah, from ʿUmar b. ʿAbdullāh b. Kaʿb, from Nāfiʿ b. Jubayr, from ʿUthmān b. Abī al-ʿĀṣ, from the Prophet ﷺ, and that is the authentic (ṣaḥīḥ) version.
