✧ I came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and pledged allegiance to him along with a group of women from the Anṣār. When he stipulated for us that we should not associate anything with God, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill our children, nor bring a slander that we fabricate between our hands and feet, nor disobey him in what is right. She said: He said: And do not deceive your husbands. She said: We pledged allegiance to him, then we left. I said to one of the women: Go back and ask the Messenger of God ﷺ what deceiving our husbands means. She said: She asked him, and he said: Taking his wealth and favoring someone else with it.
