حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَتْ
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَرَأَيْتَكَ الْمَرْأَةَ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ ؟ قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ: فَضَحْتِ النِّسَاءَ قَالَتْ: إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يَسْتَحِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَنْ رَأَى ذَلِكَ مِنْكُنَّ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ

✧ I entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the house of Umm Salamah, and she said: “O Messenger of Allah, what do you think of a woman who sees in her dream what a man sees?” Umm Salamah said: “You have disgraced women.” She said: “Indeed, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is not ashamed of the truth.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever of you sees that, let her perform the ritual bath.”
