✧ The sun eclipsed, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed with the people. He stood for a long standing, about the length of Surah al-Baqarah, then he bowed for a long bowing, then he rose and stood for a long standing, but less than the first standing, then he bowed for a long bowing, but less than the first bowing, then he prostrated, then he stood for a long standing, but less than the first standing, then he bowed for a long bowing, but less than the first bowing. My father said: And in what I read to Abd al-Rahman, he said: Then he stood for a long standing, but less than the first standing, then he bowed for a long bowing, but less than the first bowing, then he prostrated, then he concluded. Then he returned to the hadith of Ishaq: Then he concluded, and the sun had already become clear. He said: The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah; they do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone. So when you see that, remember Allah. They said: O Messenger of Allah, we saw you reach for something in your place, then we saw you hold back. He said: I saw Paradise, and I reached for a cluster of grapes from it. Had I taken it, you would have eaten from it as long as the world remains. And I saw Hellfire, and never have I seen a sight like today. I saw that most of its inhabitants are women. They said: Why, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Because of their ingratitude. It was said: Do they disbelieve in Allah? He said: They are ungrateful to their husbands and ungrateful for kindness. If you were to treat one of them kindly for a lifetime, then she saw something from you, she would say: I have never seen any good from you.
