✧ It was a day of play for the people of Madinah, so I entered upon al-Rubayyiʿ bt. Muʿawwidh b. ʿAfraʾ and she said: The Messenger of God ﷺ entered upon me and sat in this place of my bed. With me were two slave girls lamenting my fathers who were killed on the day of Badr, beating the duffs—and ʿAffan said once: the duff—and among what they said was: "And among us is a Prophet who knows what will be tomorrow." He said, "As for this, do not say it."
